Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 January 2026. Rules governing your use of Visit Museum Egypt.
Independent information portal. We do not sell museum tickets, official tours, or admission passes. Purchase entry only through official museum channels.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Visit Museum Egypt website located at rccgthelighthouse.com (the "Site") operated by Visit Museum Egypt ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Nature of Service
Visit Museum Egypt is an independent editorial information portal providing museum guides, travel tips, schedules, and planning tools for visitors to Egypt. We are not a ticket vendor, tour operator, travel agency, or official representative of any Egyptian museum, government body, or cultural institution. All museum admission, guided tours, and travel arrangements must be made directly with the relevant providers. Information on the Site is provided for general planning purposes and does not constitute professional travel advice.
2. Accuracy of Information
We strive to maintain accurate and current information regarding museum hours, admission prices, visitor rules, and travel guidance. However, museum schedules, pricing, and policies change without notice. We make no warranties — express or implied — regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any content on the Site. You are solely responsible for verifying critical information with official museum sources before making travel decisions. We shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or expense arising from reliance on Site content.
3. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, editorial articles, graphics, logos, design elements, and the Online Planner interface — is owned by Visit Museum Egypt or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any Site content without our prior written consent. Brief quotations with attribution and a link to the original page are permitted for non-commercial purposes.
4. User Conduct
When using the Site, you agree not to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) submit false, misleading, or defamatory information through contact forms; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks; (d) use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to extract Site content without permission; (e) interfere with the Site's operation or other users' access; (f) transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code; (g) impersonate any person or entity. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
5. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including museum official pages, guide services, and advertising partners. These links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. We have no control over third-party content, privacy practices, or services. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and them. We disclaim all liability arising from your use of third-party websites or services linked from the Site.
6. Online Planner Tool
Our Online Planner generates suggested itineraries based on user inputs. Output is advisory only and does not guarantee availability, suitability, or optimal routing for your specific circumstances. The planner does not create accounts, store personal preferences server-side, or process bookings. Generated routes should be reviewed alongside current schedule information and personal travel constraints before use.
7. Advertising
The Site may display third-party advertisements, including Google Ads, in the future. If advertising is shown, it will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content. We do not sell museum tickets or travel products directly through this Site. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be explicitly labeled.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VISIT MUSEUM EGYPT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Visit Museum Egypt and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cairo, Egypt. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated where practicable. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
